Line Cook/ Prep Cook

POSITION GOAL:

Responsible for preparation of patient and staff meals. Prepares meal according to department recipes and HAACP guidelines. Also to assist in special assignments. Perform all duties necessary to maintain a sanity infection free environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma

Licensure: City of Chicago Food Managers License, Illinois Department of Health Food Workers Certification

Experience: 5 year kitchen experience

Communications Skills: Understand, communicate, and carry out food service functions

Supervisory Responsibilities: Evening, weekend shift in absence of both Director and Lead Cook.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods. Push and pull abilities.

Working Environment: Varied temperature, damp, slippery, possibly around dangerous equipment.

Continuing Education: Attend the initial hospital orientation upon hire. Attends and maintains the annual mandatory inservices as defined by hospital.

Medical Records Clerk- Part Time

We are seeking a part-time Medical Records Assistant with at least two years of work experience in a Health Information Management (medical records) department or similar work setting. The individual is responsible for daily record completion, assembly, filing, retrieval and the processing of release requests per HIPPA regulations. This position will also assist with ROI, filing and coding as needed. The qualified candidate will be highly proficient with Health Information Management procedures and processes. The individual may divide the work week or day between the two hospital facilities.
Must be customer service focused and have a minimum of a High School diploma. Must have at least two years of experience.
Demonstrated knowledge in release of information (ROI), CCS, CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certified is required.

Outpatient Receptionist- Part Time

The Outpatient Receptionist is responsible for providing reception services within Chicago Lakeshore Hospital Outpatient Programs. Outpatient programs serve a diverse patient population including adolescents and adults with various mental health needs.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional customer service skills, excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external contacts both on the telephone and directly, and ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate also demonstrates legible handwriting, accurate spelling, thorough attention to detail and great organizational skills. Maintenance Worker

Job Description

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the Maintenance Worker position. Responsibilities include: General maintenance and troubleshooting of hospital plant operations. Additional responsibilities may include providing minor repair and maintenance of heating, lighting, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing services as necessary for the care of hospital operations. The position is responsible for performing daily inspections and other maintenance tasks as required. Requirements: HS diploma or trade/vocational schooling, a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting, documented training in electrical, plumbing, carpentry or heating/air conditioning is a plus. Intake Clinician

Job Description

Our Intake Department currently has openings for Full-Time, Weekend and Float-Pool Clinicians. The right candidate will be responsible for screening inquiry and crisis calls, completing clinical assessments, and facilitating the admission or referral of all those seeking mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. The candidate should have strong communication skills in order to coordinate the admission process with all referral sources and hospital departments by providing thorough and accurate patient information to physicians, managed care companies, and unit nurses. Registered Dietitian

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree for an accredited institution, majoring in dietetics, nutrition, or food service administration required.  College level reading, writing and mathematical skills.

 

Licensure:  Must be qualified dietitian registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and licensed in the state.  Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

 

Experience:  Previous experience working in a food service industry, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.

We are currently hiring Full Time RN Supervisors for our Child and Adolescent and Adult Pavilions. Shifts available vary, including weekends. Previous experience in an inpatient Behavioral Health setting preferred. Previous leadership experience required. Must have current Illinois RN licensure. The RN Supervisor's Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary: notify physician and family/responsible party of any change in patient's condition, make timely rounds.

  • Prepare written and oral reports/recommendations to the nursing administration as necessary/required concerning the operation of the nursing department.

  •  Focus on continual process improvement and quality medical care coupled with personal development of staff.

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter and intra departmental personnel. Develop strong team emphasis and lead accordingly. Promote positive, calm, and effective work environment that contributes to teamwork and reduces turnover.

  • Work with supervisors in our Children’s Pavilion/Adult unit to manage and maintain optimal staffing. 

    Qualifications:

 

  • Must have 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferably; in a free-standing inpatient Behavioral Health setting

  • Must have current unrestricted Illinois RN licensure. BSN preferred.
