The Outpatient Receptionist is responsible for providing reception services within Chicago Lakeshore Hospital Outpatient Programs. Outpatient programs serve a diverse patient population including adolescents and adults with various mental health needs.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional customer service skills, excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external contacts both on the telephone and directly, and ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate also demonstrates legible handwriting, accurate spelling, thorough attention to detail and great organizational skills. Must have knowledge of behavioral health and medical terminology.
Education: A high school diploma.
Experience: Two years of previous reception experience in behavioral health setting required.
Computer/Typing Skills: Typing skills of 65 wpm and intermediate proficiency in computer and application programs.
