Business Office Manager
Business Office Manager – Chicago Lakeshore Hospital This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of an established hospital. As a “hands on” manager, this position reports to the CFO and supervises a staff of admissions coordinators/financial counselors. The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: •Oversees benefits verification and completion of required admissions documents. •Validates and reports daily census including admissions and discharges. •Manages in-house collection efforts and establishes payment arrangements. •Ensures accurate patient account set up. •Coordinates the tracking of reimbursement denials. •Manages the posting of daily charges for primary and ancillary services. •Supervises staff and monitors collection goals. •Initiates the timely billing of charges. •Participates in special projects as directed by the CFO. Qualifications: •Thorough knowledge of insurance billing and collections procedures. •Knowledge of the hospital revenue cycle and related interdependencies. •Experience with patient collections and financial counseling. •Bachelor’s degree preferred. •Excellent oral and written communication skills. •Strong computer skills especially with MS Excel. •Three to five years of prior hospital business office experience. •Demonstrated supervisory experience. Food Service Worker
We are looking for float-pool food service workers who will be responsible primarily for stocking our food items. The right candidate will also be responsible for assisting with food service operations. Responsibilities include: cleaning and sanitizing foodservice equipment, assist with hospital catering events, handling of patients food, etc. All candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalency; ability to work for long periods standing in cold/hot temperatures in a noisy environment. In addition, the qualified candidate should have the ability to lift 50 lbs and bend, be a fast-learner, punctual and have customer-oriented attitude. Intake Clinician
Our Intake Department currently has an opening for a FT Clinician. The right candidate will be responsible for screening inquiry and crisis calls, completing clinical assessments, and facilitating the admission or referral of all those seeking mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. The candidate should have strong communication skills in order to coordinate the admission process with all referral sources and hospital departments by providing thorough and accurate patient information to physicians, managed care companies, and unit nurses. The candidate should also have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and have sound clinical judgment. A Master's Degree is required LCPC/LCSW required. Will consider LPC/LSW. Maintenance Worker
We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a float-pool Maintenance Worker position. Responsibilities include: General maintenance and troubleshooting of hospital plant operations. Additional responsibilities may include providing minor repair and maintenance of heating, lighting, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing services as necessary for the care of hospital operations. The position is responsible for performing daily inspections and other maintenance tasks as required. Ideal candidate will have great maintenance and problem solving skills. Requirements: HS diploma or trade/vocational schooling, a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting, documented training in electrical, plumbing, carpentry or heating/air conditioning is a plus. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb ladders to heights of approximately 25 feet and work on scaffolding. Must also have a valid driver's license, and available for on-call duties. Dietician
Chicago Lakeshore Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills. This is a Per Diem position with some weekend hours required. Chicago Lakeshore Hospital treats children, adolescents and adults with acute psychiatric and/or addiction disorders. Requirements: - Qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree majoring in dietetics, nutrition, or food service administration and would be responsible for the nutrition care of pediatric and adult population. - Candidate must be a qualified dietician registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and licensed in the state within one year of employment. - Previous experience working in a food service industry, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting preferred, but not required. New grads that have taken and passed the RD exam may be eligible. - Have the ability to understand and communicate applicable standards and regulations and ability to focus on priorities amid distractions and multiple demands. We are seeking dedicated Mental Health Counselor's who would be responsible for providing patient care on our General Adult, Child and Adolescent and Intensive Treatment Units. Treatment services include individual and group counseling, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and education. A Bachelor's Degree is required, as well as 1-3 years of work experience. Qualified candidates should have Psych and/or Chemical Dependency experience in an Adult and/or Child and Adolescent inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of clinical experience in either a hospital, school, or social work environment. Clinical or Marketing experience in a behavioral health organization in the Chicago area is preferred. Position will focus on developing and maintaining hospital-referral agency relationships.
