Registered Dietitian

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree for an accredited institution, majoring in dietetics, nutrition, or food service administration required.  College level reading, writing and mathematical skills.

 

Licensure:  Must be qualified dietitian registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and licensed in the state.  Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

 

Experience:  Previous experience working in a food service industry, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.

Communications Skills: Good customer service skills and the ability to instruct and manage others.  Ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs.  Able to understand and communicate applicable standards and regulations; i.e., JCAHO, CMS.  Ability to focus on priorities amid distractions and multiple demands.  Able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. 

 

 

Computer/Typing Skills: General Knowledge.

 

Physical Demands: Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push and moving about in work area and throughout hospital to accomplish tasks, finger – i.e., pick or type and grasp.

 

 

Working Environment: Worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; conditions are most frequently typical of office settings and administrative work.

We are currently hiring Full Time RN Supervisors for our Child and Adolescent and Adult Pavilions. Shifts available vary, including weekends. Previous experience in an inpatient Behavioral Health setting preferred. Previous leadership experience required. Must have current Illinois RN licensure. The RN Supervisor's Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary: notify physician and family/responsible party of any change in patient's condition, make timely rounds.

  • Prepare written and oral reports/recommendations to the nursing administration as necessary/required concerning the operation of the nursing department.

  •  Focus on continual process improvement and quality medical care coupled with personal development of staff.

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter and intra departmental personnel. Develop strong team emphasis and lead accordingly. Promote positive, calm, and effective work environment that contributes to teamwork and reduces turnover.

  • Work with supervisors in our Children’s Pavilion/Adult unit to manage and maintain optimal staffing. 

    Qualifications:

 

  • Must have 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferably; in a free-standing inpatient Behavioral Health setting

  • Must have current unrestricted Illinois RN licensure. BSN preferred.

Outpatient Clinician

Chicago Lakeshore Hospital

The Outpatient Clinician is responsible for providing services within Chicago Lakeshore Hospital Outpatient Programs.  These services include assessment, therapy, treatment plan development and case management. Therapies may include individual, group or family, as clinically indicated. Outpatient programs serve a diverse patient population including adolescents and adults. We provide programs tailored to specific clinical needs, including trauma, psychosis, and dual diagnosis.  

The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, basic computer proficiency, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and capacity for effectively managing stressful interpersonal interactions.  This position requires regular interfacing with internal and external treatment team members.

Job Requirements

Education: Minimal education requirements include Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, Social Work or similar field.

Licensure: This position requires licensure (i.e. LSW, LPC). LCSW or LCPC preferred.

Experience: 2 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Utilization Review Specialist

We are seeking experienced PRN Float Pool Utilization Specialist. Our ideal candidates will complete quality health care service reviews as assigned to advocate for authorization of patient healthcare needs in a cost effective manner to promote positive outcomes. Duties include utilization management and quality monitoring. The ideal candidate will have experience in an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric hospital setting. Primary duties will be focused in an inpatient setting. Hours will vary by week. Current Illinois LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW licensure preferred. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. We are seeking a Psychologist/Behaviorist for up to 25 hours per week. Requirements include: PHD. LCPC, LCSW and experience working with a wide range of psychiatric populations with behavioral, mood and personality disorders.  The right candidate should have extensive “hands-on” experience with assessment skills, behavioral planning and/or teaching/collaborative abilities to assist other professionals with significant behavioral challenges.   Specific work experience with Child and adolescents is a plus.
