What to Expect During the Admission Process
When you call or stop by our hospital for an assessment, you’ll be greeted by our professional intake team. Our team will walk you through each step of the process, including assessment and insurance verification. Our goal is to educate prospective patients and their families on the hospitalization process, address any questions and concerns, and help everyone feel as comfortable as we can.
During your assessment, expect to answer questions regarding what you are experiencing, as well as medical and psychiatric history. Based on your answers, we will determine the appropriate programs and services to help you get well. In addition, a nurse will provide a medical screening.
The assessment and intake department is set up to ensure your privacy, and all information shared is completely confidential. From start to finish, the assessment process usually takes less than one hour. If we determine that hospitalization is appropriate, the process may take longer.
Read our guidelines on packing for your hospital stay for more information on what to bring for your hospital stay.
